Covid 19 Existing Bookings and Cancellations
Well these are difficult times for anyone in the hospitality industry. We hope that you are all well, are staying safe and are enduring social isolation in whichever way works for you. We are working hard in the gardens, with our animals and on the buildings, in the anticipation that this eventually be over and we can share our lovely Moulin with our customers once more.
If you are reading this because you are due to come and see us our advice is as follows.
Before you decide to cancel and ask for a refund, could we ask that you go through the following process first? Obviously, this is a very difficult time for us financially. We are looking at zero income for the first half of the season at least and this is only year three of our young business so we needed to have a good year. Going through this process may help us to survive:
1. If you have good travel insurance that would pay out on your booking without leaving you out of pocket please consider claiming on that.
2. Choose another date later this year and move your booking to then. We will bend over backwards to accommodate you and help you find new dates. If your new dates are in a more expensive price category, don't worry - you can have the holiday for the same price as the original booking if you rebook in 2020. If you booked direct with us through this website, your Terms and Conditions state you must cancel a minimum 42 days before you are due to arrive. We would like to give you as much time as possible to assess the situation and decide whether you can come or not, rather than pushing you into cancelling to stay outside the 42 day period, so we are suspending this clause for now. If you can give us 3 weeks notice to try and resell your room or gite, you can still have a full refund.
3. Leave your deposit with us against a payment on a future holiday, and rebook when you are in a better position to understand the virus situation in your country. Bookings originally made in 2020 but held over to 2021 will receive a 10% discount.
4. Remember that Le Moulin de Pensol is an isolated rural property in the middle of a Natural Parc. In many ways it is the perfect place to ride out this storm.
We understand that everyone is affected by this situation and you may be desperate to get your deposit or payment back. If none of the above options work for you, then of course we will refund you in full as per the terms of your booking and we very much hope to see you at some point in the future.
Contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or concerns. You can follow our news on butterflies, donkeys and lockdown on Le Moulin de Pensol Facebook page.
Stay safe and look after each other.
